Boredom Speedpaint 1

Like I said in my journal, I figured I'd go post some of my more original stuff on DA for people to see that I'm more diverse than just a fractal artist.

This was done with a collection of custom brushes given to me by a fellow on the RelicNews forums called BalanceSheet. I think he might be on DA, but I'm missing his handle. Dude, if you're out there, would much luff the handle so I can credit you for the brushes properly. Thanks.

This was about a 3 hour speedpaint - 2 hours on the first pass, then another hour-ish (I wasn't keeping track) after some critiques to help improve it. It came out of a moment of pure boredom, and deciding "let's just art, and see what comes out." A jungle scene gradually grew out of that. As a result, I occasionally still do these random "bored" speedpaints

Photoshop CS2 with a Wacom Intuos3 6x8 tablet.

PS. Some very tiny prints, such as magnets, and mugs, are available of this one, but since I had it as such a small size, that's all I've got. Sorries.
