Yeah, here's a new one. Apo 2.05 beta.

Oddly the initial gradient came off as a red-gold, which inspired me to keep tweaking until I hit on this one.

Not my usual rotational fare, but I liked it enough to render. And with the heatwave we've been getting out this way, a sun-themed fractal seemed....right.

There's some postwork in PS 7.0 to make the center more of a focus, and to brighten up the colors a little. Background, border, and title also done in PS 7.0.

Awesome. I wish the fullview was larger so I could see all the juicy details, though. Oh well, I can still tell it's a good fractal. :D

Thanks. Hmm, I could try and see if I can set the fullview bigger. :)

I'm glad you said something, becuase I usually set my fullviews pretty high...and just forgot to do it for this one. :)

And thank you.

Thanks. :D I wanted to do something different from my usual blue/purple/magenta fractals.

I see you've gotten quite good with Apophysis since you started. Remember where you first saw it?

DA, psychedelic wallpapers section. I saw a wicked fractal piece and went OMGWTF PROGRAM IS THAT?

After finding and downloading it, the rest was history. :D

Thank you. Glad you liked it.

I like sticking to 1200 minimum for either length or height depending on which. That way the fullviewers can really see what the image is.

Indeed not a usual rotational, but it looks pretty cool, especially those electric lines heading from the centre towards the outside. I gotta say the "monotone" gradient fits this type of fractal well. Nice!

Thanks. Its look just captivated me the minute the tweaking turned that up out of the base fractal. A little more tweaking and I was like "yeah this is different. Render this."

The kicker is that said monotone gradient is real close to what it started out with on the random-gradient. I'm discovering more fractals like this, when the original gradient it came with is what inspires me to figure out its final-result gradient. Probably something to do with its looks with that gradient inspiring me to keep working with it or something--can't phrase this right.

Anyways I had fun doing this one. Just for its...different-ness. And it was time to use a warm gradient for a change anyways. SUPERNOVA almost ended up with a red-gold gradient, so I find it fitting that this one did.

Hahaha, it would so own as one wouldn't it? A firethemed ballroom floor. :D

I like. Now if only I knew an interested interior-renderer who'd like to have fun using Apo fractals for surface texturing. :plotting:
