Somebody said Celery

Yup.

To those of you who know the Honor Harrington book series by David Weber, I've been bit by the impeller-driven bug. I'm up to Flag in Exile (Book 5), and await an order on Honor Among Enemies (book 6)... Seriously, if you're into PC games like Homeworld, Hegemonia: Legions of Iron, Masters of Orion, and spaceships with LOTS and LOTS of guns and missiles, you will love the Honorverse books. They're a must read for any SF or military SF fan.

Well, this friend of mine got into Honorverse as well (he's reading the first book in e-book format), and well...he seems to like treecats a little too much, and started roleplaying as one in a chatroom. He kept forgetting the l's in "bleek" until we finally told him, but it was inevitable.

I've turned him into a treecat. One who gets rather goofy upon first sight of celery...

I used a cover art picture of Honor's treecat Nimitz in one of the Worlds of Honor books as a reference for drawing and coloring this one, but it was entirely freehand. Drawn on Aiptek digital tablet in Adobe Photoshop 7.0. I didn't spend a whole lot of time on this. Rather I was going for the comedic effect of enlarged eyes, and a goofy expression.

As you can guess, this won't be the last piece of Honorverse fanart out of me by a long shot.
